Liberty and justice for stateless persons
If we continue to ignore the rights of stateless persons for existence in the United States the conflict and demand for our recognition will be unavoidable. Deprivation of human rights of stateless persons could turn violent, and one of the example is Burma.
Burma should recognize the rights of Rohingya people for existence and grant them citizenship to eliminate statelessness issue in its country to protect their livelihood. Statelessness demonizes people and in some cases takes all human they have away from them and creates anger, frustration, and feeling of not being accepted in the society. It is not Rohingya people to blame but the Government of Burma that continuously violates the principles of international treaties in respect to human rights protection that universally entitled by every human being.
By building tensions between the government and stateless persons will eventually turn into disaster with severe consequences. If the Government refuses to legalize its own residents without papers who lived here long enough to qualify for US citizenship it would create the motive of self-defense when stateless persons will rise to demand justice and protections in respect to their human rights as defined in international treaties.
All branches of the Government body should and must work together to provide the remedy in resolving the issue of statelessness in America. Domestic policy should come first.
